इंडियन बँक्स असोसिएशनच्या वतीने दिल्या जाणाऱ्या 'टेक्नॉलॉजी बँक ऑफ दी इयर' हा पुरस्कार ठाणे जनता सहकारी बँकेला प्रदान करण्यात आला. असोसिएशनच्या वतीने मुंबईत आयोजित केलेल्या बँकिंग टेक्नॉलॉजी कॉन्फरन्स व एक्स्पोच्या कार्यक्रमात हा पुरस्कार बँकेच्या पदाधिकाऱ्यांना प्रदान करण्यात आला.  बँकेने ग्राहकांचा वेळ, पैसा, श्रम वाचावे यासाठी  कोअर बँकिंग सोल्युशनद्वारे बिझनेस प्रोसेस रिइंजिनअरिंगचा वापर करण्यात आला आहे. सहकारी बँक असूनही उत्तम सेवेमुळे बँकेच्या एटीएमधारकांची संख्या १० लाखांवर गेली आहे. या सर्व ग्राहकांना बीएएनसीएस या नेटवर्कशी संलग्न केल्यामुळे देशभरातील या नेटवर्कशी संलग्न असलेल्या बँकांच्या एटीएममधून पैसे काढण्याची सोय उपलब्ध झाली आहे. 'चेक डिपॉझिटरी मशिनच्यामार्फत चेक जमा करण्याची सोय ३० ठिकाणी देणाऱ्या या बँकेने चेकबुक देणारे भारतातील पहिले यंत्र ठाण्यात बसवून तंत्रज्ञानात आपण अग्रेसर असल्याचे  अध्यक्ष विद्याधर वैशंपायन यांनी सांगितले.  आपल्या तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर सहकार क्षेत्रातील अन्य आघाडीच्या बँकांनाही करता यावा, यासाठी कल्याण जनता सहकारी बँक व जनकल्याण बँकांना तंत्रज्ञानाच्या वापरात सहभागी करून घेण्यात आले आहे. लवकरच बँक स्वत:ची आयटी उपकंपनी सुरू करून आपल्या व्यवहारांवर देखरेख ठेवणार आहे. बँकेची उलाढाल आता ४३०० कोटी रुपयांवर गेली असून नॉन परफॉमिर्ग  असेट्स (एनपीए) चे प्रमाण शून्य टक्के आहे.
