ठाणे जिल्ह्यातील १४९ गावांना 'तंटामुक्ती पुरस्कार'

ठाणे जिल्ह्यातील १४९ गावांना राज्य सरकारचा 'तंटामुक्ती गाव पुरस्कार' जाहीर करण्यात आला आहे. त्यापैकी १६ गावांची निवड विशेष पात्रता पुरस्कारांसाठी करण्यात आली आहे. या गावांना ३ कोटी ४० लाख २५ हजार रुपयांच्या पारितोषिकांचे पाटप केले जाणार आहे. सागावे, कोकनेर, चहाडे, धनरा, पोखवारा, करळगाव, कुंभवली, एकलारे, कोलावडे, बेरेगाव, गुदवली, गारगाव, खानीवडे, दैलवाडी, मकणे आणि नकागावे या १६ गावांची शांतता पुरस्कारासाठी निवड झाली आहे. महात्मा गांधी तंटामुक्त गाव मोहिमेचे यंदाचे दुसरे वर्ष असून त्यासाठी जिल्ह्यातील एकूण १३ तालुक्यांतील २९ पोलीस स्टेशनच्या कार्यक्षेत्रातील ९०५ ग्रामपंचायतींमध्ये ग्रामसमित्या स्थापन करण्यात आल्या आहेत. त्यात १ हजार ३३९ गावांनी सहभाग घेतला असून त्यासाठी ठाणे ग्रामीण पोलिसांनी जिल्ह्यात स्वतंत्र तंटामुक्ती सेल स्थापन केला आहे. त्यात सहाय्यक पोलीस निरीक्षक आर. एस. दाभाडे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखालील पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक जे. डी. सुतार, हवालदार आर. एस. कापुरकर, महिला पोलीस व्ही. बी. कांबळे कार्यरत आहेत. यंदा जिल्ह्यात ३० सप्टेंबर २००९ पर्यंत २४ हजार ७६६ तंटे दाखल झाले होते. त्यापैकी ९ हजार ४१६ तंटे सामोपचाराने मिटविण्यात आले. गेल्या वषीर् जिल्ह्यातील ३९ गावे तंटामुक्ती पुरस्कारासाठी पात्र ठरली होती
